1. What is your absolute favourite film of all time?

A Little Princess (1995) would definitely have to be my favorite. Actually, I watched it last week (for the fourth time), and I cried so hard that my waterproof mascara ran.

2. What is your second least favourite film and why?

The Paranormal Activity movies. I mean, they’re not the worst movies I’ve seen, but not my favorite by far. Plus they’re not even scary.

3. What is your guilty pleasure?

Binge watching Gossip Girl and eating kettle cooked jalapeno and cheddar chips.

4. What one word would be the best one to describe your personality?

5. Coffee, beer, or wine?

Definitely depends on the situation, but usually coffee!

6. Pick your favourite TV show, and then choose 3 characters from that show to Kiss/Kill/Marry.

As of now my favorite show is The 100 so…

Kiss: Monty. He’s so innocent.

Kill: Pretty much all of Mount Weather.

Marry: Bellamy Blake because w o w

7. Favourite fast food restaurant?

Any Chinese food place!

8. If you had to spend time with ONLY one person for the rest of your life, who would it be?

I honestly don’t think I can pick. So, no answer? Is that allowed?

9. Your GoT house. (If you don’t watch GoT, you may choose Harry Potter house, LOTR group, Divergent faction, Hunger Games district, etc.)

I took a quiz once and they said I’m Cersei Lannister because I’m a stone cold bitch that wants control and be ahead under a serene surface, so Lannister I guess, haha.
10. What is next location on your travel list?

I’m actually traveling around Europe this summer! The first stop is Milan 🙂

11. What is your favourite blog post that you have written?

My Review and Discussion of the Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies.

15 Things That Make Me Happy

I saw that Jenny from Jenny In Neverland did this post, and I really liked the idea of it, so I decided to do it as well. I’ve been feeling kind of down lately, and I feel like this post is a good way for you to get to know me, and also for me to remind myself of the things worth living for. This is in no particular order, just written down the way they pop into my head.

1. Books

Is this a surprise? If it is, you might be on the wrong blog…

2. Music

Music is so important to me, and it’s a constant in my life. I’m a classical musician, trained in piano and cello, but I’m an avid fan of screamo, pop punk, punk rock, and pop music. If I have my earphones in you can bet that I’m listening to bands. Some of my favorites are Mayday Parade, Simple Plan, You Me At Six, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, and Falling In Reverse.

3. Netflix

I am in love with Netflix. So much so that I make time for it every day nearly. The idea of having whole series and movies in one device…magical.

4. Movie Theatres

As much as I love curling up in my bed with coffee and popcorn, I love love love going to the movie theatre, especially when it’s the opening night. The smell of popcorn is just heaven to me, and watching and experiencing the same emotions as others in the room with you is an experience unlike any other.

5. Food

Eating is a great joy in my life. In the past I struggled with an eating disorder, and I’m fully recovered from it, which allows me to experience food with a lot of happiness. My brother is an amazing cook, and he always makes me nice dishes when I’m too lazy to make my own food. I don’t know what I’m going to do without him when I go off to college next year.

6. Creating

Whether that’s art, writing, music, graphics, I just love to create things. I’m not the most creative, not the best artist or musician, but it relaxes me, and brings me closer to the things that I love.

7. Dance

I’m not sure if I’ve ever mentioned this on my blog before, but I’ve been dancing since I was six, and still am. Dance is just an easy way for me to forget about my problems and focus on one thing. Also, it’s a fun way to stay fit.

8. Photography

Not just mine, but looking at others’ photography as well. Nature landscapes of beautiful places are my favorite, and photos of tattoos are always very interesting to see, as I want to get a tattoo in the near future.

9. Friends

Friends are very important to me, and lately I’ve been trying to cut the toxic people out of my life, and the end result has been looking a lot brighter.

10. Feeling Successful

This is one feeling I need to have in my life. If I don’t have any successes for a long time, even just stupid ones like beating a level in a game, I just get very disappointed in myself. I’m kind of pathetic in that sense, haha, but I’m working on it.

11. Being Organized

Nothing gives me a better high than when my agenda is all planned out in my planner, and I have everything under control. Please note that this happens quite rarely. Usually everything is just a mess and I try and remember everything I have to do. Definitely not the best method.

12. Nothing Days

Every week, usually Saturdays, I give myself a day where I can do nothing and not feel guilty about it. I find that this really helps me relax and not procrastinate when I actually am working.

13. Finishing Something I Started

I guess this sort of ties in with feeling successful. I love the feeling when I finish something, like a piece of artwork, or my classes.

14. Singing In The Car

Do I even have to explain this? Just driving and singing in the car at the top of your lungs. Best feeling ever.

15. The Internet

I am so thankful that the internet was invented. Without it I wouldn’t be able to post on this blog, and just overall, it’s exposed me to things I wouldn’t have known about otherwise. Tumblr and Instagram are my worst time wasters, but I’ve met some wonderful people on there.

Being happy is such an important thing, and I think taking a step back and just looking at the little things that make you happy is a good thing to do. May your 2015 be filled with happy days!

Goals for 2015

I found this on Tumblr, and decided to share this because I am for sure trying to make these resolutions happen (source is linked at the bottom)

1. Sleep earlier, rise earlier – get off your phone, set a time, create a habit.

2. Read more – and not just shitty fanfics. Read them too. But read. Read classics, read newspapers, read magazines, read fictional books, read joke books. Just read.

3. Stay away from people who do not deserve you – you are worth a lot more. Fuck their shitty opinions.

4. Eat well – and I don’t mean diet. I mean, eat well. Eat healthy, indulge every once in a while, but don’t go overboard. Eat for your health and not for society.

5. Create a plan that will be enjoyable for exercise and just do it – no fucking around this year

6. Study well – an hour every single day. Just one hour of uninterrupted, that’s all it will take. Apprendre et travail dans Francais – Je ne sais pas si ce est juste, pardon a mon francais suiveurs

7. Pamper yourself- give yourself one hour. One hour a week to unwind. To week to wash your hair, leave in your conditioner, soak your skin, have a face mask, shave your legs, light some candles, drink some tea, put on nice smelling lotion and comfy pajamas, put on some nice music and sleep well.

8. Put in an effort – doing your hair nicely, putting on that clean change of clothes and a simple coat of mascara has a lot of power to make you feel a hell of a lot better

9. Learn new VOCAB – because why the fuck not? Write down your new words that you learn while reading, use them in conversations; expand your vocab, because when you are sitting in the exam room, you’ll be glad you have.

10. Plan an outing once a week – have something to look forward to, to be excited for. Experience new things.

11. Set small goals – 3 small things to do every day, and don’t sleep till you have them done. 3×365 knowledgeable achievements will be worth it – trust me

12. Meet new people – don’t be so quick to judge.

13. Love yourself – I’m still trying to figure this one out, but I’m beginning to feel like I am worth it.

14. Art – practice makes perfect. Work, and when you can’t work, learn. Discover artists and their pieces, their inspirations, their style. Document it. There is always something to do to improve, whether it be through practice or research.

15. Stick to these goddamn goals. 2015 will be the shit if I make it.

Harry Potter, Skits, and an Engagement

It is currently 11;45 pm at night, and I am still shaking from all the emotions that have run through me tonight. The only way to tell this story however, is to start from the beginning.

So there we were, my best friend and I, just coming out of dance class. On the way to her house, we blasted some Mariana’s Trench music, and we reminisced to back when we went to their concert (and met them!!!). That started the emotional rollercoaster.

After we made a quick stop at her house to change out of our dance clothes, we started onto our final destination. Our high school. Where we were going to attend Harry Potter Sketch Night. Basically my drama teacher put together this night where the drama kids, and anyone who wanted to, could produce a little skit/sketch related to Harry Potter in anyway at all.

My group did something called “Ollivander’s Shop”, where we made Ollivander gay, Draco a little brat working there, and dementors out of black garbage bags and silly straws. Oh and a vacuum was used. Overall, it was just a funny sketch making fun of Harry Potter, but in a loving way of course.

There were other sketches as well, such as a Dance Off between Gryffindors and Slytherins, and a Date Night, where two witches went on a date with Muggle boys. It was a hilarious night, but with my friend playing the Harry Potter score in between sketches on her flute, it just made me miss Harry Potter and those memories associated with it so much.

But wait, I haven’t even gotten to the best part yet. The last thing was Harry Potter pick up lines, and people from the audience were picked to read one off a piece of paper on the stage. My favorite one was “If you were a dementor, I’d want to be arrested just to have your kiss”, and my drama teacher said, “Wow, Ari melted for that one,” infront of everyone, and it was mildly embarrassing, but what can I say, I love Harry Potter, and I love pick up lines.

My art teacher was the last one to say his, and he walked right up to his girlfriend, and said it, and then carried her down to the stage… and proposed. I knew about it for weeks, but I was still so overjoyed and cheerful and happy and overwhelmed…! I knew if someone did that for me I would marry them right on the spot, like yes please. I was given roses beforehand to give to my art teacher, and he passed them to his now fiance!

Overall it was a great night, and so magical for so many reasons. I just wanted to share this wonderful story with you, and save it for myself for later in life.

Harry Potter Forever bitches.

Hi, so this is my first post on this blog, and I decided that I should start off with an introduction to myself. There’s really not a lot about me actually, so this should be a pretty short post.

My name is Caesaria, but you can call me Ari, because I know that it’s hard to pronounce. I’m in grade eleven, and I have no idea what I want to do with my life, although I do know that I want to open a bookstore/cafe at some point in my life. I’m interested in film, art, literature, dance, and music, so yeah, I’m not sure what my future holds for me.

However, I do love to read and watch movies, so I decided that it would be fun to start a blog reviewing some of the books I read and the movies I watch. It’s a lot more productive than just sitting around on Tumblr while I’m procrastinating homework.

I guess that’s all there is to say, and I hope you find enjoyment in my blog!
